KRK tweets IPL is fixed and slams Dinesh Karthik for taking DRS

The latest match in Indian Premier League 2020 saw action between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab. KXIP came with the intent to show some serious form and grabbed the match by eight wickets. Batting first, KKR got wrapped up on an ordinary total of 149/9. Shubman Gill’s half-century and skipper Eoin Morgan’s 40 runs were the major highlights of Kolkata’s batting line up. Lockie Ferguson played a quickfire cameo of 24 runs, in the end, to get the team going.

Talking about Punjab’s innings, Chris Gayle and Mandeep Singh turned dangerous and spectacularly led KKR home. Gayle added 51 off 29 while Singh added major 66* of 56 from his end. Apart from their loss, one more thing remained heartbreaking for the Kolkata franchise, and it was Dinesh Karthik’s form with the bat. Karthik started this season on a disappointing note but played some good knocks in between.

However, his struggle is again on with the bat, and the same story unfolded yesterday. Mohammed Shami stunned him with another outstanding delivery, where he was caught behind by KL Rahul. But Karthik was unsure of his bat being in contact with the ball and went for a DRS rather, but even then, the decision came against him. And he had to leave the pitch with a duck in his bag.

Talking about yesterday’s match, Kamaal Rashid Khan again caught some limelight with his usual derogatory statements. He alleged Karthik of wasting the DRS so that others can’t use it and even stated that IPL is fixed. His habit of making irrelevant and ugly comments did not even leave IPL this time.

“I don’t watch web series so. I watch #IPL in free time for entertainment and to see, Ki Match Main Kisne Kaya Fix Kiya Tha,” he tweeted.

He also defamed Karthik and said, “Sir @DineshKarthikis very good player. He was clear out at 0 and still used the review to make sure that at least 1-2 more players will be out if even they are not out. Sir, it’s a very good tactic. So, pls use it in the next 2-3 games to make sure that #KKR is out of the tournament. #KKRvKXIP!”
