I would love to play in Pakistan, says Aaron Finch ahead of Pakistan clash
Three of the last six matches in the ICC World Cup have been washed out by rain, leaving the enthusiasts disappointed. The captains of the two teams met the press on the eve of the high-voltage clash. Australia defeated Pakistan 5-0 in their last series played in the United Arab Emirates though the latter team didn’t have their best of the players in the field then. Sarfaraz Ahmed, the Pakistan captain who was also not in that series, said in the press conference that it is a thing of the past now and will not affect Pakistan’s resolve to do well in the big clash.
Australian captain Aaron Finch, on the other hand, will look to hit the winning ways back at the earliest. His team came under criticism for not coming up with the best of chases against India’s mammoth total of 352 the other day. Finch himself got run out thanks to a terrific throw from Kedar Jadhav.
Finch hopeful about cricket returning to Pakistan
Besides focusing on the game, Aaron Finch also spoke about the prospects of cricket returning to Pakistan. The Asian country has not got enough opportunity to host international games ever since the Sri Lankan national team was targeted by terrorists in Lahore during a tour in 2009.
