Fans slam Gautam Gambhir for his latest tweet on Sanju Samson taking a dig at MS Dhoni

Sanju Samson has been the talking point in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). He has played two of the best innings in as many outings so far this season and the experts are praising him a lot. After impressing with a 32-ball 74 against the CSK, Samson slammed 85 off just 42 deliveries in the record chase to help the Rajasthan Royals win both their games.

After his latest heist with the bat, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor lauded the Kerala batsman stating that he had told the cricketer at the age of 14 that he will be the next MS Dhoni. However, when Gautam Gambhir came across the tweet, he took an indirect dig at Dhoni stating that Sanju Samson doesn’t need to be next anyone and he could be the first of his kind.

“Sanju Samson doesn’t need to be next anyone. He will be ‘the’ Sanju Samson of Indian Cricket,” Gambhir wrote in his tweet while responding to Shashi Tharoor.

Here’s his tweet:

Fans not happy with Gautam Gambhir
Gautam Gambhir, every now and then, is seen taking a dig at MS Dhoni. Recently, after he didn’t come out to bat at four or five in a steep chase of 217 against the Royals, he had said that the veteran cricketer needs to lead from the front and nothing will happen if he keeps coming down the order to bat. Even Aakash Chopra recently pointed out that Gambhir never minces his words while speaking about the former India skipper.

Fans too are not happy now with his latest dig at Dhoni and are slamming him. While some of them are lauding Dhoni for handling the team well despite having players like Gambhir, few are busy slamming the latter for his digs at the same person every time. Gambhir was also trending after he had tweeted on April 2 that only Dhoni’s six didn’t help India win the World Cup and it was the result of the efforts of the whole team and support staff.
