England vs Ireland 2020, 2nd ODI Ageas Bowl, Manchester, Predicted XIs: England & Ireland Look to go With Same Playing XIs

England vs Ireland 2020, 2nd ODI Southampton, Predicted XIs:

After England beat Ireland by six wickets in the first ODI, the focus now shifts to the second match of the series, to be played on Saturday.

It wasn’t a comfortable win by any means, as the performance left a lot to be desires, especially from the batsmen of both the sides. Though England have suffered an injury setback — Joe Denly has been ruled out of the series — there seems to be no reason for the hosts to change their playing XI.

Once again the onus will be on the likes of Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow, to deliver the goods with the bat. Sam Billings rescued the team when the going was tough, and might just get a promotion in the batting order.

Moeen Ali, though has done fairly well with the ball, but need to silence his critics as far as batting is concerned.

On the other hand, Ireland seem to have found a gem in all-rounder Curtis Campher. He scored a fifty on debut and picked a wicket too. He could definitely be promoted in the batting order. The squad will be led by Andrew Balbirnie and has seniors like Paul Stirling, Kevin O’Brien, William Porterfield and Boyd Rankin.

England Possible Playing XI: Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow (wk), James Vince, Eoin Morgan (c), Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Tom Banton, Adil Rashid, Tom Curran, David Willey, Reece Topley

Ireland Possible Playing XI: Paul Stirling, James McCollum, Andrew Balbirnie (C), William Porterfield, Gary Wilson, Kevin O Brien, Andrew McBrine, Barry McCarthy, George Dockrell, Tim Murtagh, Boyd Rankin
