‘You will be amazing parents’ – PM Narendra Modi wishes Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma after the Indian captain’s birthday wish

On Thursday, September 17, Narendra Modi, the Honourable Indian Prime Minister, celebrated his 70th birthday. The veteran has been working his heart out in the COVID-19 pandemic even as the cases don’t seem to decrease. He also came forward with the initiative PM-Cares Fund in order to collect funds for the needy and underprivileged in the grave global scenario.

In the meantime, on his birthday, PM Modi was showered with praises from every nook and corner of the country for his tireless efforts in the pandemic situation. Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team, didn’t miss out on wishing the colossal personality on the grand occasion either.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “Wishing a very Happy birthday to our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. @narendramodi @PMOIndia.”

The Prime Minister didn’t miss out on Virat’s tweet. Even as he acknowledged the 31-year-old, he also sent them wishes for parenthood. He also tagged Anushka Sharma in his post. The PM replied to Kohli and wrote, “Thank you @imVkohli! I would also like to congratulate @AnushkaSharma and you. I am sure you will be amazing parents!”

Back on August 27, Virat announced the pregnancy of Anushka, who’s also a Bollywood actress, and said that the baby is arriving in the month of January. However, at that point in time, Virat is expected to be in Australia, leading Team India in the tour of Australia. The tour is set to mark India’s return to international cricket after the coronavirus pandemic hit the world.

For the time being, Virat is in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), starting September 19. The Challengers will be playing their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday, September 21 at the Dubai International Stadium.

RCB have qualified for the final three times, but are yet to get their hands on the coveted trophy. After they made the final in 2016, they have strained. However, Virat has been one of their key players, being the all-time leading run-scorer in the history of the tournament with five tons.
