Vijay Hazare Trophy: 17-Year-Old Yashasvi Jaiswal Smashes Double Ton For Mumbai

Yashasvi Jaiswal, from Mumbai, made a story script when he became the youngest player to score a double of List A when he accomplished the feat against Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. At age 17 and 292, Jaiswal broke the previous record in almost three years. Mumbai’s first game destroyed 203 of only 154 deliveries, reaching 17 four and 12 huge six. This is not a bad feat considering that Jharkhand had characters like Varun Aaron, Shahbaz Nadeem and Anukul Roy in their formation.

Jaiswal made his List A debut earlier this year and has been in good shape. He has already scored two tons: against Kerala and Goa. He has also represented India at the U19 level. Previously, Sanju Samson also scored a double ton against Goa, breaking an undefeated 212 for Kerala, which was also twice as fast in the history of List A and the highest score in a Vijay Hazare trophy. He also broke Abid Ali’s record and recorded the highest score of all time for a goalkeeper.
