RCB players smear cake on Virat Kohli’s face as skipper celebrates 32nd birthday
ndia and Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli turned 32 on Thursday. The batting superstar is currently in the UAE for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. RCB have booked their place in the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and Kohli will be definitely keen to guide the team to its first-ever IPL title.
RCB made it to the playoffs by a whisker. Along with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders, they finished the league stage with seven wins. But they managed to take the final spot in the playoffs due to a better net run-rate than KKR. RCB could have finished higher in the table but four back-to-back losses dashed their chances.
The Kohli-led side will lock horns against SRH in the Eliminator. If they manage to win the game against the in-form team, they will take on the losing team of the first Qualifier which will be played between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals.
