Latest IPL 2020 points table, Orange and Purple cap holders after RCB vs DC game
The 19th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) witnessed the action between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore on the Dubai pitch. Showing up with bat first, the opening stand of Delhi stood firm enough to stitch a partnership of 68 runs as they won the game with a huge margin of 59 runs. Prithvi Shaw (42 off 23) and Shikhar Dhawan ( 32 off 28) provided the initial base to the team as they posted a massive 196/4 on the board.
Axar Patel was awarded as the player of the match for conceding just 18 runs in four overs and picking two wickets. Cameo by Rishabh Pant (37 off 25) remained essential in the team’s race to stand near the 200-run mark. The end game of DC accelerated like a fire, courtesy Marcus Stoinis’ thunderous 53* off 26. Washington Sundar turned eyes again with the ball in the hand as he leaked just 20 runs in his span of four overs. Mohammed Siraj picked two wickets for the RCB team.
It was a great bowling show from DC
Chasing the mammoth total, the otherwise strong opening stand of RCB failed as Devdutt Padikkal, and Aaron Finch returned too early. Skipper Virat Kohli’s 43 off 39 was the only bright spot in RCB’s batting line up. Apart from Harshal Patel, all the bowlers from DC remained too economical, but Kagiso Rabada touched new highs. He picked four wickets in four overs and went for just 24 runs.

After RCB vs DC match, Delhi has jumped to the top of the points table with eight points. The second place is sealed by defending champions Mumbai Indians. Next in line are Royal Challengers Bangalore at 3rd place and Kolkata Knight Riders are at 4th place.
