IPL 2020: Tinder asks if RR admin is single; the latter responds hilariously

Rajasthan Royals (RR) have had a roller-coaster ride in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team, led by Steve Smith, started the tournament with a couple of thumping victories at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. They defeated the 2019 runners-up Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 16 runs to kickstart their campaign after posting a mammoth 216 on the board.

In their second match against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), they registered the highest ever run-chase in the history of the T20 league. Rahul Tewatia’s heroics took them over the finishing line. The Royals were once the table-toppers and were deemed as one of the favourites to make the playoffs. However, ever since the two matches, RR’s fortunes have turned upside down.

RR struggling to find their feet
They have strained and are currently placed seventh in the points table. In their last six matches, they have won a solitary game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Dubai. Even in that game, they could easily have lost before Riyan Parag and Tewatia’s heroics took them to a victory. It goes without saying that the Royals need a few wins to get their campaign back on track.

Smith’s men are next scheduled to lock horns with Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday, October 17 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In their previous faceoff, RR lost by eight wickets and would want to make some amends.

In the meantime, dating website Tinder India dropped a funny tweet, asking if RR’s page admin is single. They took to Twitter and wrote, “Is the @rajasthanroyals admin single? Kaafi funny hai.”

The Royals came up with an even more hilarious reply. The tweet indicated how the Royals have strained to find their feet outside Sharjah. The franchise replied to Tinder India and wrote, “In a complicated relationship with Sharjah.”

Here’s RR’s reply:

The Royals won’t be getting to play at Sharjah anymore, at least in the league phase of the T20 tournament. They even lost one game in Sharjah when the Delhi Capitals (DC) thrashed them by 46 runs on Friday, October 9. It remains to be seen if and when they make a comeback.
