Jasprit Bumrah rumored to be dating actress Anupama Parameswaran

Cricket and Bollywood share an exotic relationship for a really long time now and it has only strengthened with time. A number of cricketers have dated and even tied the knots with B-Town actresses from the early 90s to even most recently. Another Cricket-Bollywood linkup has come to the fore. Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is rumoured to be dating popular South Indian heroine Anupama Parameswaran.

The internet world dug deep into it and found out that the duo also follows each other on Twitter and Bumrah has also liked quite a few of her tweets. Once the news was out, it was brought up for opinion as well and recently, in an interview, Anupama denied dating Bumrah and said that they are just ‘good friends’.

Interestingly, Bumrah isn’t following any other female actress on social media platforms as per reports in India TV. The 23-year-old Anumapa is an admired figure in the South Indian film industry. She rose to fame with Premam (2015) and thereafter featured in movies like Sathamanam Bhavati, Natasaarvabhowma, and Vunnadhi Okade Zindagi. She has also won three awards for her work.

Bumrah’s World Cup stint

For the time being, Bumrah is busy plying his trade in the ongoing edition of the World Cup in England and Wales. The pacer has been a fulcrum of the Indian team for the last three years and last year, the speedster showed his class, even in Test cricket after making his debut versus South Africa. He has a deceptive slower ball in his armoury along with his lethal Yorker.

Last year, he was the leading wicket-taker for India in ODIs among fast bowler as he picked up 22 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 16.63 with best figures of 4/35. Bumrah hasn’t flattered in the World Cup as well, having picked up five wickets in a couple of encounters.

He picked up the openers- Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla- against South Africa at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. Afterwards, he bowled with venom and got three wickets versus Australia at the Kennington Oval in London. Parking aside his cricketing career, it would be interesting to see if Bumrah talks about the rumoured relationship with Anupama.
