David Warner reunites with his family after 108 days; video goes viral

Australia’s aggressive opening batsman David Warner finally reunited with his family comprising his wife Candice Warner and three daughters Ivy Mae, Indi Rae and Isla Rose after a long period of 108-days. Warner was away from his family for more than three months as he travelled to England in the month of August for an ODI and T20I series before heading to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for taking part in the just-concluded 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The batsman arrived in Australia earlier this month after his IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) lost to Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 2nd Qualifier of IPL 2020. However, owing to the strict quarantine rules due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Warner was locked in a hotel room for 14 days. He finally completed his quarantine today and had an emotional reunion with his family.
An adorable video of Warner meeting his three daughters Ivy, Indi and Isla is going viral on social media. The official Twitter handle of cricket.com.au shared the reunion clip with the caption, “Aussie opener @DavidWarner31is reunited with his family after finishing his hotel quarantine”

Earlier today, the SRH skipper had also shared a picture featuring him, wife Candice and his daughters. He had captioned the pic as, “After 108 days finally I am back with my girls. Isla still won’t sit still or smile in a group pic My happy place @candywarner1 #family,”

Warner had a decent run in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he emerged as the highest run-getter for his franchise and was successful in leading his team to the playoffs yet again. In 16 matches, the left-hander collected 548 runs at an average of 39.14 and strike rate of 134.64.

He will be next seen in action, during the upcoming home series against India. The Indian cricket team is there in Australia for three One Day Internationals and as many T20 Internationals followed by four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy.

While the white-ball series is scheduled to begin from November 27 in Sydney, India will be up against Australia in their first-day night Test on December 17 in Adelaide. The remaining three Test matches will be held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
